MOBILE OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY IN IPSWICH
Mobile Occupational Therapy for Adults in Ipswich
Strive to Thrive Therapy provides mobile Occupational Therapy for adults across Ipswich and surrounding areas, including Springfield. Appointments are usually in the person’s home or another relevant community setting, with telehealth where suitable.
We provide Functional Capacity Assessments, Assistive Technology Assessments, Home Modification Assessments and Capacity-Building Occupational Therapy.
We work with self-managed and plan-managed NDIS participants, Support at Home recipients and private clients.

Is this referral a good fit?
We work with adults aged 18 and over when disability, injury, illness or changing support needs are affecting everyday function, safety, independence or participation.
Referral questions may involve daily living, mobility, equipment, home safety, routines, community participation or current support needs. Seeing everyday activities and environmental barriers in context can be particularly useful when the question depends on how the person manages at home or in the community.
You do not need to choose the service before referring. Send us the referral question and relevant background and our team can help identify the most suitable starting point.
Occupational Therapy services in Ipswich
Functional Capacity Assessments
Understand how a person manages everyday activities, the functional impact of disability or health conditions and current support needs. Findings are brought together in a formal report with practical recommendations.
Assistive Technology Assessments
Assess equipment needs, trial suitable options where appropriate, liaise with suppliers and provide supporting documentation.
Home Modification Assessments
Assess barriers within the home and whether environmental changes may help. Recommendations consider the person, activity and environment rather than starting with a predetermined modification.
Capacity-Building Occupational Therapy
Ongoing Occupational Therapy focused on practical skills, routines, confidence and independence linked to the person’s functional goals.

How referrals work
Step 1: Send the referral.
Tell us what is happening, the question that needs answering, and any relevant risks, timeframes or funding information.
Step 2: We review the referral.
We generally respond within 2 to 3 business days and confirm service fit, availability and any information or next step needed.
Step 3: Meet with the Occupational Therapist.
Appointments are usually in the person’s home or another relevant community setting. Depending on the service, the next step may be a report, practical recommendations, equipment trials, home modification advice or ongoing therapy.
Service area and funding
We provide mobile Occupational Therapy across Ipswich and surrounding communities, including Springfield. Availability varies by suburb, travel requirements, clinician capacity and service.
For NDIS-funded services, we work with self-managed and plan-managed participants. Strive to Thrive Therapy is not an NDIS registered provider, so we do not provide NDIS services for NDIA-managed participants. We also work with Support at Home recipients and private clients.
